According to Charleston County Sheriff's Office Lisa Pistolis remains behind bars as friends and family have apparently failed to arrange the $75,000 required bond to free her.
Meanwhile, North Charleston Police Department continues to build their case against Pistolis. saturday afternoon they closed I-526 between the Leeds Avenue and Dorchester Road so that they could reconstruct the scene of the fatal accident.
Last Sunday, 35-year-old Serjei Cahuantzi of Charleston was ejected and killed in that accident. 24-year-old Lisa Pistolis has been charged with felony DUI with death.
Police said that Pistolis was traveling eastbound on 526, drifted off of the road and into the median. She attempted to self correct back onto the roadway when she collided with a the deceased. Both vehicles spun out of control and Cahuantzi flipped several times.
News2 reports that officers on scene for the reconstruction said that Saturday's closure was typical procedure. It took about four and a half hours to do and re-route traffic.
Officers said there is no information they can release yet about Saturday's reconstruction.
