This is Herbert Judon, Jr, Charlotte Douglas International Airport Deputy Aviation Director. Judon is Jerry Orr's number two who quietly slipped out the back door several times over the last month to travel to Asheville at taxpayer expense.
Reports are the Judon drove a city of Charlotte car and racked up gas bills using a City of Charlotte credit card to meet with Asheville airport officials on more than one occasion.
But he wasn't on vacation rather he was on a quiet and covert fact finding mission to learn how to free CDIA from the City of Charlotte.
No secret that relations between Charlotte's mayor and the airport have become strained. The turf war over the airport police was the last straw and with Kurt Walton's departure Jerry Orr apparently decided he had endured enough.
The CMPD take over of the airport police is a disaster but that is another story for another day, so how did manage to expense his fact finding trips?
