While Lisa Pistolis remains behind bars, rather than in them, at least some positive news came from last week. First Charleston attorney Calvin Carroll has been hired to represent Lisa who wisely dumped her public defender, Alicia Penn.
Wise move indeed as Cedar Posts hears that Penn was in favor of a guilty plea and moving the case along.
According to Charleston County Courts Pistolis will have a first appearance, the afternoon of April 26 and a second appearance date has been set for June 21 in the a.m. session.
Meanwhile Pistolis still has the matter of the first DUI which is on the court calendar for May 6, 2013 in the a.m. session.
One can't help but feel sorry for the now infamous party girl, at least someone has stepped forward to help where they can. Leaving her behind bars may help with the eventual jury trial as defendents who come to court looking like Lindsay Lohen don't stand a chance in Charleston.
