Pendergraph vs Pittenger
Posted on 04:45 by baba ji
Pittenger Left and Pendergraph Right
When Mecklenburg County Sheriff Pendergraph retired in 2007 he was paid for 18 days of unused vacation time. Something most of us would expect to be paid if we left the employment of any company.
But Robert Pittenger has used this fact in a rather twisted attack ad, saying that Pendergraph took “a secret, taxpayer-funded bonus”.
Of course Pendergraph could have pushed back his retirement date by 3 1/2 weeks, but Harry Jones signed off on the final paycheck and therefore Pittenger's Attack Ad is a real stretch.
What might become as issue however is Pittenger's Real Estate Investment Company that markets "Private Placement" real estate deals that use loop holes in investment regulations to sell investment deals that are except from the scrutiny of securities regulators. Pittenger's company openly promotes the former state senator's "connections" inside North Carolina Government.
Cedar's Take: Isn't time we smarten up and not send another "good ole boy" to Washington? How about someone with new ideas, someone willing to "represent" the people who elect them to office?
